This is the beginning of my solo seat on my cb500t. I’m going for a super low, slim and minimal seat that fits with the curves of the tank.

Cutting out paper templates to get certain measurements.

Laid out the design on 16 gauge sheet metal.

muscled some bends.

Here are some pics from the rear wheel build. Took about three hours to do but its finally laced and trued!

Based on some things I’ve been seeing lately from Adam and Shinya, I’ve been psyched on the bare metal look. I think it fits my 650 well. The 650 is a little rough around the edges and sounds nasty with the pod filters and 4-1 exhaust. So the raw metal tank with a few minor imperfections fits the theme. I bought another tank on eBay and stripped her down. eBay tank was super clean…

This is the shit Adam and I are using to prevent bare metal from rusting, it’s called Boeshield:

Boeing uses it on their airplanes… pretty sick.

I’ve been looking at some different ideas people have for carrying their bmx bikes on their motorcycles. I would love to do a small trip this summer on motorcycles, goin to Allentown trails and the York cement park. This is Clint Reynold’s way of transporting it. Held down by the bars, homemade welded clamp to the frame, and the seat is supported into the rear fender. Pretty cool/scary at the same time!

Some of his philosophies include:
- respecting the raw material he’s working with instead of painting it
- older 70′s engines carry the spirt of the person who drafted them
