This Saturday, June 26th to Harrisburg.
So far there are about 11 people we know of going. If you’re up in the air about it, you should come, it’s gonna be fucking awesome.
We’re meeting in the BP gas station (25th and poplar) at 9:30am and we’ll be leaving at 10:00am sharp. If you’re not there by 10, you’re gonna have to cruise up to the campsite yourself.
We have a reservations at: River Front Campground
Nick confirmed our reservation and was told our campsite will be right along the river. It’s $5 a person.

We’ll be getting food and beer between stopping at Troegs and getting to the campsite. Bring your own camping stuff and make sure your cycle is in solid/reliable running condition. We’ll be doing roughly 300 miles so be prepared. We plan to be back in Philly mid afternoon Sunday.

My Special Lady Friend and I are definitely there. I think we might be riding up later in the afternoon with Max and Anna (I have a family thing in the morning that hard as I tried… I just couldn’t ditch). We’re stoked for the trip.
Incidentally, I swapped bikes with my aunt (she needs me to do some work) so Easy-E and I will be rolling on the Yamaha 1900 – this bike is a fucking beast! Not exactly a classic, but it pulls like a train!

To get around West Chester, you could…
stay on 82 instead of turning left on 842
go straight at the roundabout, which is East Doe Run Road
third left on Unionville-Lenape Road (turns to route 52)
turn left after crossing the little stone bridge (still route 52)
turn right on S. Birmingham Road
right on Wilmington Pike, then quick left on Brintons Bridge Road
turns to Dilworthtown Road after crossing route 322
turn right on Westtown Road past Cheyney University
turns to Tanguy Road/Creek Road
Turn right at Creek Road
Left on Old Gradyville Road
Left on Bishop Hollow Road
Right on Route 3 East
Left on Bryn Mawr Avenue
There are a few variants of the above route.
Goshen Road is closed between route 252 and Darby-Paoli Road, due to a bridge being down. There is an ‘official detour’ and a couple of ‘unofficial’ ones.
Also, FYI – Philly Triathlon, June 25th to 27th and I believe they use both East & West River Drives.

@Scott: good stuff. I re-did the google map with your directions with maybe just a slight variation. Good heads up with Goshen Rd being closed. I made sure to avoid that even if there is a detour posted.

Hey Fred, I just updated the post with the campsite. Their website says its a fishing campground.
To everyone: The campsite is now set which is good so I’ve updated the post with the info and I’ll rework the map tonight with the new campsite location.
Troegs is ~115 miles and im not sure how long it’ll take us but it might be ~3 hours. How do you guys feel about leaving at 9 to give us plenty of time to get there?????
