The 650 rebuild is finished. It’s running pretty damn good. Going easy on it for the first few hundred miles.
Here’s what I did in the last step:
- Re-did my wiring, I cut out about half my wires. Props to Adam!
- Installed oil cooler
- Spot-painted frame
- Re-mounted gauges lower and tighter
- Installed new rings, assembled engine. Props to Nick!

- Ready for the engine to go back in

- Gauges mounted lower and tighter

- Custom headlight switch, mounted in fork ear
- Oil cooler adapter plate which makes the entire cooler set-up work, purchased from: www.randakks.com
Thanks to everyone who helped. Couldn’t have done it without you guys. Extra special thanks to Adam, for his intricate wiring knowledge, and Nick for his master engine expertise.

Myself, Adam, and Max took a trip up to Jim Thorpe this week to see Old Crow Medicine Show play at Penn’s Peak. They played a great show and we got to the chance to do some off- the- beaten path camping on some PA State Game Lands. Max lead us on some crazy good roads on the way home as well… Good times…mick
Penn’s Peak is really on a peak. The view was awesome.
We followed this gravel road a good half mile before finding a suitable camping spot.
Sleeping on the tall grass was really comfortable.
Max setting up his tent which was wool blanket draped off the monster.
Middle of no-where camping… awesome.
