It’s a PARTY and a RIDE, and we want you all to come! Saturday, July 31, 2010

The Ride: Register in swinging downtown Pittston, PA, grab a coffee and/or breakfast in the morning from one of the many restaurants on Main Street and figure out your route and riding partners.

We will provide route suggestions and maps for riders. Routes will be from 30 to 80 miles in length and weave through the hills and along the Susquehanna River to Bandit’s Roadhouse on Route 11 in Berwick, PA.

Bandit’s provides large, safe parking and an excellent place to gather, eat, drink and be merry. Music, entertainment and contests provided throughout the afternoon!

You could alternatively just show up at Bandit’s!

Cleaned everything as best I could, then I took the head and cylinder jugs to Mar automotive in the near northeast.

They cleaned and checked everything, installed my new valve seals, cleaned up the combustion chamber, intake and exhaust ports. They also said I had 1 leaky valve, so they fixed that too. Turned out great, quick turnaround, friendly guys, $110 charge for everything. A while ago they also did the cylinder head on my S2000, and checked out the cb450 head for me, so I can recommend going to them if you have engine work that you want done.

Next, and last step, is re-assembly of the engine with new rings, installation of a Lockhart vintage oil cooler, go through my wiring harness to check everything, and then fire it up.

I figured you guys would like to see this. This is from the late 70′s when my pops first brought his Norton back from the U.K. and Paris. His buddy Chuck (www.charlesphoto.com) snapped this who is now a professional photographer.
