I’m getting ready to upgrade cameras, but I’ve found some fun in downgrading to my iPhone and an app called Hipstamatic Disposable. After downloading the app, you’re prompted to pick a “camera” which you’re stuck using until you reach the end of your “film”. It has an effects slider and a flash to mimic these new Holga cameras you can find at Urban Outfitters. Just like a film camera, you can’t see your photos until the roll is finished. You can also share rolls of film with a bunch of friends who have the app. And the best part, it’s free.

A couple weeks ago, Mike Clarke from FOTS stopped by the workshop and brought some issues of his Show Class Mag. I met Mike years ago when he worked at Little Devil for those of you who remember when they had the warehouse and the sickest bowl setup. Anyway Mike’s a good dude so if you get a chance to get out to ride to skate this year make sure to pick up an issue and a calendar. Cycles and babes… good stuff.

Issue 2 features some photos from our friend Mike Persico.

Yep… you can tell I was bored today.
Ryan and I are doing a collab on the cast-salvage website, and it won’t be finished for about a month.
For the meantime I threw together this semi-cheezy, yet semi-fun animation as a placeholder until we get the real site together.

Just a little jQuery and CSS3 animation.
Check it out HERE.

Our friend George donated these old manuals to the shop last week. I really like the graphic design and photography in these old things. How cool is this dude’s helmet!

Woah… FULL color!
