Laid down the final paint, Rustoleum oil rubbed bronze. Came out better than I expected and depending on how fast this cures I might have pictures of a running bike! ha

Laid some fresh paint on the frame and other bits. I used gloss black but looking back now I think a satin would have been better but oh well. Clean paint always looks good.

I’ll be in the Netherlands for the next 12 days so hopefully I’ll find some sick cafe bikes to post up…. I’ll be reassembling the 500t when I get back.

I’m always curious as to how people mount their custom seats. Well, this is my design. I welded 3/16″ steel bar and tapped them out for M10 1.25 screws which mount from the top and will be covered by the seat padding.

Got the cowl welded up and excess cutoff. Still needs some more final shaping with the hand file and then it’s ready for paint!

A change from the original seat.
