After a few weeks of being tortured having fun with painting Anna’s bike, I finally put it all back together today. I still need to get the seat over to have it upholstered, and unfortunately the purple fuel lines I had picked up were 1/4′ instead of 1/8′. All in all it looks pretty great……except……. of course when putting the gas cap back on the tank, I managed to chip a little spot near the cap.
I keep telling myself this is a learning process, but the truth is I am only learning how f@#!king frustrating painting is, and how much I want to kill myself while filling dents, wet sanding, doing 6 coats of paint then messing up, then wet sanding, and then more wet sanding, and finally getting it right only to mess it up the next day!
I also wanted to mention putting the tank on. Like a complete idiot I forgot to run a balance fuel line before I started to fill the tank up with gas, so I poured about a half a gallon of gasoline all over the bike, myself and the ground…. NONE ON THE NEW PAINT THOUGH!!! So as I sit here laughing covered in cuts on my hands, gasoline everywhere burning those cuts, and grease under every nail(that will look very attractive while bartending tonight) I say to you this…. Im really not complaining, everyone should paint their bike this summer! Hahaha
