Just got a huge box of parts today and spent the afternoon puttin’ ‘em on. Here’s where I’m at so far and a little before/after for comparison.

So, I’ve got the new pipe on, installed the Screamin’ Eagle air-cleaner, put in the DynoJet kit, and took her for a good ride. Impressions:
1) DynoJet fucking sucks. I followed the directions for my setup to the “T”, fired the bike up and she purred like a kitten. Let her warm up and took off down the block – almost NO power. came home, pulled the carb apart and the bitch was shit-full of fuel. Fuel fucking EVERYWHERE. Took that stupid kit out and installed beefier stock jets and shimmed the needle a bit for mid-range. Bike now runs like a champ. I still need a little work on the mid-range, so it’s a work in progress.
2) Tracker bars suck – both aesthetically and functionally on a bike like this. Clipons will be here friday.
3) Jesus that suspension is terrible. I have new Hagon Nitro 14.5″ shocks and am waiting for the RaceTech cartridge emulators and springs to come. The Hagons and new springs should get the bike off the ground and give me a much better ride.
4) I fucking love this bike. I can dig it.
The end.

So, I have a ton of parts on order and they’ve been trickling in. Yesterday, I installed a set of Biltwell 1″ tracker bars. I’m not 100% sure how I feel about them – I’m going to wait until I install the suspension to make a decision. I did get a high-flow air cleaner, jet kit (mostly for the richer/smoother needle profile and stronger emulsion tube), and a Vance & Hines Competition Series pipe. I installed it all today and the bike sounds fucking amazing! I can’t wait to get it on the road and give it a good run. Here’s what it looks like so far…
