Vintage Motorcycle Enthusiasts in Philadelphia

About

Chin on the Tank is a vintage, cafe-racer motorcycle enthusiast scene in Philadelphia. It all started a few years ago when a handful of us here in the city got into old vintage motorcycles. Back then, we didn't know shit about cycles at all, execept that cafe-racer cycles look tough as fuck. We started meeting other guys around the city with vintage cycles who were into the same stuff we were into. It just made sense to make a weekly ride out of it, and a website to document it all.

Nothing beats getting out of the city with your buddies on vintage cycles to camp in the middle of no where. Roasting open roads on a cafe-racer is pretty sweet. I can't think of anything better.

This site is collectively run by several people in Philly.

  • Weekly Meetup

    Every Thursday

8pm, meet in the BP gas station at 25th and Poplar.

    All year long.
We do a ride through Fairmount park... sometimes go for longer rides, end at one of the bars in the city, drink some beers, and shoot the shit. Normally somewhere in northern liberties. Just depends. Come meet up and do a ride with us.

  • Repair Services

Not everybody likes to get their hands dirty, which is fine. There are some people that get a certain amount of satisfaction from wrenching on old cycles. Ricky and Adam are two of those people. If you're in need of repair services to your old cycle within a reasonable price and timeframe, give them a call or shoot them an email.

If you want to show up and shoot the shit, hang out for a while and talk motorcycles... that's fine to. Show up with some beers though.

triton – on ebay

This triton looks pretty good, except for; how high that gauge is, the numberplate, the pin-stripping, and gap between seat / tank.

It’s on ebay for around $7500. Do you think it’s worth that much? I don’t.
