Two strokes pull way harder than fours from a standing start… but like you said it’s not about speed… and fours sound way better.

I’d love to get a 500cc someday. But, like I said, both are pretty damn cool.

I actually like Streetfighters as long as they’re done right and your photoshop version is at the top of the charts, IMHO. Sure, you may not be able to transform it 100%, but you can probably get pretty close…..even without welding anything!

That will be an amazing experience. Keep left, down a few extra pints for Burt Monro, and say hi to Brett and Jemaine for me.

Who will be maintaining the site? Adam?

Good luck.

I leave the first week in january. My girlfriend is doing an international rotation within her company, in the Auckland NZ office, and I’m going with her.

Yea… We’ll see what happens if I actually get a 250rr.

You know I won’t be able to weld, so I’d either have to do the seat without welding, or have someone help me with that part of it. I can’t find any pics of what the frame looks like, but there’s gotta be a horizontal bar that goes across I could mount to.

I’m into both. Your plan looks solid but you’ll need to learn how to weld that aluminum (?) frame to get rid of the stinger back end. That will really make the look

I’m not a fan of sport bikes. But I really like the idea of turning one of these little ones into a streetfighter / cafe hybrid. Hyabusa = gross. I don’t care about goin fast.

@scott
Yea, I’m not sure about a 2 stroke either, but they are pretty sick. I don’t know if it’s 100% do-able to transform one of these into a true cafe hybrid, but I’d like to try and get it as close as possible. I’m not the biggest fan of streetfighters either. Anything I can do to make this resemble an older Honda cafe racer, I’m gonna try and do.

And yeah, it is a shame we don’t get either of these bikes in the US market. With that said…..of the two, I would probably go for the 250rr. As much as I like the notion of 2 stroke, they ARE a little more temperamental. I really like your photoshop vision and feel either of these bikes could be transformed fairly easily in to a really cool streetfighter.

They’re all ugly, go for speed.
