I’m super stoked to see the huge barricade in person, the shot ended up looking amazing! It should be up any day now and will be up until the end of March. My favorite part was at the end of the day my pup and I got to hang out in the studio and get a few shots on the bike – thanks Anthony!

Thanks to Whitney for making it happen! I hope she enjoys the bike as much as I did – it’s a blast. It’ll be in front of the new Free People store in NYC (division of Urban Outfitters). I hope she chimes in at some point and mentions the photographer’s name and maybe a site so we can post a link to it for credit.

Todd, working on bicycles and motorcycles are two different things. With fixed gears, you can stay on top of things and still have enough time for beers, dance parties, cool sweaters, etc. Customizing your own motorcycle is a whole different ball game – the time, effort and cash put out doesn’t leave much room for anything else lifestyle wise. Unless you have deep pockets.

That said, I don’t entirely disagree with you – I just disagree that it’s cafe bikes that are getting popular. I’d say joe schmo hipster off the street doesn’t care what you are riding, as long as it’s a motorcycle you’ll be lumped in. But if that happens I say more power to it – rather see my friends with sexy ladies on the back (and my ladies with handsome boys…) then old men.

I really called it when I said cafe racers would be the new fixed gear as far as “hip” transportation trends are concerned. Cool bike though.
