Yep – the s2000 is still an absolute blast. Recent track event last month in Millville NJ.
I took a million Advil for my bad back, and went for it.
Tom N in his e46 m3, and my other buddy in his rare white/red AP1 s2000.
Ton of fun.

Was a good year. Got in a handful of track events.
Really happy with it all. Car ran great.
Made a couple s2000 friends this year too which is nice.

Did some more mods:

Honda S2000 CR shocks.
Swift spec R springs which are a little stiffer than CR springs and 1″ drop.
Eibach front sway bar on stiff hole.
CR rear sway bar.
ACT clutch / streetlite flywheel.

Car felt great. I’m still slow but feeling good and having fun.
Tires cold – front: 30.5 / rear: 30

Below vid is my first session. Was traffic heavy and some people prob shouldn’t have been in Intermediate class.

I bought this jap s2000 magazine over a decade ago. Hyper Rev? Was published in 2004 when the AP2 first came out. I highly doubt most of these aftermarket performance companies parts are still available.

Finally found an oem Honda hardtop too.

Did another track day at NJMP thunderbolt with Tom N.
Ton of fun. Intake, exhaust mods felt / sound great. I need to figure out better GoPro sound quality. Wind is killing me.

Played around with some different tire pressures. For my reference, cold:
– 30.5 front
– 30 rear

Third session, lost the rear for a sec, but I caught it. Around minute 7:00.

Dead last and having a blast.

Tom N and I were in the intermediate group
I have a first year AP2 s2000. RS3 tires. Hawk brakes. AP1 slave cylinder
Tom in e46 M3
I was def one of the slower cars/drivers in that group
s2000 felt great, however I def need to improve and work on my track skills
GoPro footage is super embarrassing how slow I look
Some of Toms work friends were there. Real nice group.
I barely passed the convertible broomstick test. Tech inspection dudes weren’t pumped.
Had a blast. Can’t wait to do another one
Itching to do a couple more “OEM plus” mods to my car now

I waxed the S2000, dialed it in, and got it ready for storage today.

I decided when I get back from NZ, I’m gonna start getting into amateur road racing. Watch this vid. It’s sick as shit. It’s exactly why I always wanted an S2000.

yea… my s2000 is an earlier AP2 which means it has no traction control. For those of you who didn’t know… the s2000 is rear-wheel drive and mine has g-force sport tires, which are awesome sticky summer tires.

So… snow VS the s2000….

Some dickface piled all their sidewalk snow on top of my car, which is bad news since it’s a cloth soft-top. Def can’t have all that weight sitting on top. I was not psyched.

I shoveled my ass off… and Erin enjoyed taking a nap with Jasper.
