Spent Sunday in the studio with Ryan and Juli working on the new COTT and Cast & Salvage shirts. Lots more shirts to go.

Fresh COTT shirts!

Ricky and I bartered cycle work for design work from our good friend Ryan De La Cruz. Ryan’s style and ideas fit exactly what we had in mind for some chin on the tank shirts as well as the branding for our new undertaking, the Cast & Salvage Workshop.

It took a good month and some late nights to work through the design process but it was well worth it.

My girlfriend Julianna is a printmaker so we spent this past Sunday in the studio printing…

First, we decided on the image size and cut them out to be burned onto the screen.

Deciding on shirt placement.

Mixing up the ink.

Burning the screens.

Checking the for imprefections.

Finally printing.

Final product!

Ryan psyched to be wearing one of his designs.

This is just a small batch of shirts as a test run. We’ll be doing a larger run in the next few weeks.

If you want to get your hands on these, either come to RIDE TO SKATE or you can get whatever’s left over at our Thursday night rides. These prints are produced in the bowels of Kensington using shirts made right here in the USA — none of that Chinese cheap labor bullshit!

There is a third design, but you’ll have to come over Friday night to my place after Kung Fu Necktie and bring whatever you want printed on and a few bucks for paint. I’ll print on leather, too.

Making this official, screens are burned and shirts are being printed one at a time in my kitchen. Show off your bustling patch of chest hair in our standard V-neck, coming in a range of muted fall colors and classic black. No fucking white…I mean, I’d hope you’re all working on your bikes in these things and that shit’ll just get gross. Yes, I made shit a contraction.

Here, Ricky shows a thrift store-bought, one-off just in time for Biketoberfest. I’ve been doing leather and denim jackets as well. Got a jacket you want done, send it my way.

As you can’t see, the V-necks come in a variety of colors (old-brick red/creme, black/creme, charcoal/grey and also, blue/white, brown/black, brown/creme).
