Central Appalachia Ride

The end of the summer is a great time to get out and ride. For the last few years I have taken a week in September to just hit the road in search of whatever is out there and this year was no different. Last week I headed out across PA and then cut down into Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky in search of twisty two lane blacktop and found plenty of it out there. Here are a few pics from that trip.

Directions.

Surveying the damage from my first time laying down the cycle. Panic stop for kamikaze dog. Dog and I are fine though the 599 has a few new scars.

Fresh pavement.

Tunney Hunsaker Bridge, WV

Mountain passes kick ass.

The road less traveled.

Dirt Bike Weekend

We took to the dirt this weekend, on the banks of the Schuylkill River in Berks County, to break out the Cast & Salvage 2-strokes. It was good to see us country kids and the Honda Elsinore back in their natural environment.
