cb360t build recap

Well this build took longer than expected but I was still able to do it within budget. Unexpected delays were mainly due to spending time tracking down parts that were either missing from the start or to replace ones I had donated to fix Andrew’s cb360t. Overall, I’m pretty proud of how it turned out […]

cb360 is alive

Our philly winter has delayed the 360 terrorizing the streets but it’s built and…. in my living room. I’ll be loading it up in the back of the toyota for the trip up to Ricky’s Joint for a proper tune up soon enough.

cb360t home stretch

It’s a month past deadline, due to a few unforeseen issues, but things are on the home stretch now. My new plan is to ride it to the next First Friday (January 7th) at Liberty Vintage. Greasy hands and late nights. More updates to come.

chinonthetank cb360t engine 2

While I’m trying to sort out getting the engine bolts, I removed the starter and all its components which requires pulling the rotor. As with my 500t, I had to use the gear puller with the impact wrench to blow it off so I can get the starter gear off thats behind the rotor. Real […]

chinonthetank cb360t engine

I don’t know much about this engine and that’s turning out to be an issue. I cleaned up the cylinder head coverĀ and then realized I don’t have the bolts to put it on which means, i can’t check compression. I’m hesitant to do more work on it without knowing the compression. Anyone have the cylinder […]

chinonthetank cb360

Got some more parts in…. 48mm emgo pod filters and complete gasket kit. Cleaned headset bearings and assembled. I’m missing some nuts and bolts for the triple tree, forks, headlight bucket, etc…. I’m coming up with a list and will have to hit up the metric hardware store this weekend. I think the euro bars […]

chinonthetank cb360t

Angle grinder time! Since the Thursday ride was rained out I made some good progress in the basement. Cleaned off all the side cover tabs, fender holders, seat mounts, the weird mount thing under the head tube and shortened the back end of the frame. Pretty sure the neighbors weren’t psyched on the grinder hell […]

chinonthetank cb360t

When Andrew bought his cb360t earlier this year we aqiured a ton of extra parts as part of the sale because the seller was moving to NYC and couldn’t take any of the stuff with him. This really sweetened the $400 deal especially since we ended up using a good bit of the parts to […]
