Livin’ it up on the road south

Been living free camping in the woods, riding great open roads and lovin’ every bit of it. Smoky mountains were an epic sight to see.

Saw 5 black bear all within 20 feet of us. Weekend traffic through the park got to be too much so we decided to high tail it south for some new scenery. Stopped in Athens Georgia for pizza and a beer. Lots of gorgeous ladies in that college town and all of them uninterested in us. We’ve been looking pretty filthy from living outside for the past week and a half. Met a lot of cool dudes that were pumped on our cycles.

One guy Bob took us in and fed us a big dinner and told us about his cross country trip in the 70’s on a water buffalo. Pretty excited to hit the Gulf coast today. We swam and drank some beers to celebrate. Tomorrow we turn around and start heading back north starting with a visit to my old friend Joe in Charleston, SC.

I really dig the photos. The first one looks like it could be from 1975.

Thanks guys. The walkway was to the highest point in the Smokys. View was pretty awesome.

  4. Amazing.

I am living vicariously through you guys on this trip.

Wishing to do it again myself someday soon.

Save these acorns of experience to savor some winter day in the future.
