A co-worker of mine was doing some wheeling and dealing on craigslist and one of the bikes the guy wanted to trade him was a ’75 CB550 with a full Tracy Body Kit on it. Needless to say, it was totally bitching and since my co-worker did not grab it, I am seriously considering it . Below is the full Tracy catalog from 1974. The illustrations are almost as good as the kits themselves. Enjoy.

– How much does the guy want for it? –
– Do you have a pic of his?
– Find out if his motor is modified…
And yea… those illustrations are killer.
That is some trippy looking stuff
@Alex
I added the screenshot of the Craigslist post.
Not even exaggerating… I’m really into it.
I would 100% rock that thing. I think it’s badass.
That’s definitely a bike i’d put some period correct motor work / performance stuff into.
I’ve been drooling over this thing since it landed on CL a week or so ago. The period Tommaselli clip-ons, high shouldered rear rim, wide flat front rim and most of all that Grimeca hub! Someone in Philly buy this so I can visit it and live vicariously through you.
I’ve seen photos of Tracy body kits from back in The day..never in person…they are rare and way unique! That catalogue is crazy! The penetrator fairing?!!!?.
That bike on CL just gave me a period-correct boner. Alex buy that!
Please buy that!
Anybody know what is that Grimeca hub is off of or was it an aftermarket wheel?
Hi.
Its my bike but because no one got to me I sold the engine and chassis to a friend. But he and I would sell the bike to someone if they are interested otherwise its getting parted out.
Aaron
The hub is off a Ducati single.
no engine is stock and is a runner
Aaron, I’m the guy who wrote the post and my co-worker at RevZilla is Rob. Email me at themightykwin@gmail.com if you want to try to work something out. I am super interested in the 550 and I have seen some of the other stuff you have for sale. You have a KILLER collection man. Would love to come check it out and meet you in person.

Hi Alex i emailed you but i have not herd back from you did it not get through.
Aaron
I remember seeing one around the same time i bought my 500, it was purple. Man I love that shot with the pigeon point lighthouse, i should get a picture of my bike in the same spot :0
Hey Aaron, I don’t know if Alex flaked out or not.. but if you end up parting out that bike I would love to get that Tracy kit for my 550 (and I would not touch the paint). If I had had the cash I would have bought the whole bike and thrown a stock seat/tank combo and re-sold it. I’ve always loved these old Tracy kits, but finding one for the 550 is tough even if they don’t usually sell for that much.
