Sunday Ride

Blasting the highways around Philly when there isnt traffic is so much fun. It’s quick shot south from my place in Kensington to Ed’s place in South Philly which I did this past Sunday. It was an easy decision to take a break in the workshop to bring some tools down to Ed so he […]

Summertime Film | roll#1

This summer I carried my 35mm Pentax camera for the occassional shot. I mainly shoot digital but appreciate the look and feel of film in certain situations. I’ve been really slow with finishing rolls so I actually only shot a hand full. I’ve gotten some developed recently and the pictures are a random sampling of […]

cb450 > cb500t hybrid – part 3

2021 update – click here. Below is deprecated info… I’m dubbing this the ‘cb475’. I’m all finished and it runs fucking awesome! I had lost interest with this cycle, but now I’m psyched on it again. I’m super pumped on how smooth this engine swap went. Pretty sure there aren’t many cb450’s with 500t engine’s […]

cb450 > cb500t hybrid – part 2

2021 update – click here. Below is deprecated info… – Spot painted the frame with a few coats of Rustoleum. I used a rust neutralizer spray first. I don’t care enough to take every little thing off and paint it legit. This is good enough in my opinion. – Wiring harness is at Ricky and […]

cb450 > cb500t hybrid – part 1

2021 update – click here. Below is deprecated info… I bought a cb500t engine to put into my 1973 cb450. There’s not really many reasons I’m doing this other than it’s fucking cool… Hybrid! The engine bolts right in. Should have a bit more torque. 1975 500t engine. 24,000 miles on it. Get dirty. Step […]

cb650 seat – upholstered pad

Seat is finally 100% done. Took about 2 months from conception on paper to finished product. It was my first time doing metal stuff like this. The seat def has some minor imperfections… but it has character. I designed the pad, and had someone upholster it for me.

650 seat – tail light

Got the tail light on today. Looks pretty cool. I’m psyched. Now all that’s left on the seat is to sand down the top, and coat it with Boeshield T-9. Seat pad is at the upholstery place right now getting made.

cb650 seat – finally on the bike

The seat isn’t finished yet. But at least it’s on the bike now. It’s rubber-mounted in 4 spots, distributing my weight, so I’m hoping the seat doesn’t vibrate to death and break itself apart. Fingers-crossed. Made some gusset brackets for the mounting hinges. Good idea adam. They look cool. License plate… crotch rocket style. Right […]

Last week I took a trip out to Chicago to visit my good friend Ryan. We’ve rode bmx for years and on one of our last bmx adventures around the southwest riding some of the best cement parks (chandler park, Phoenix AZ) I got him psyched on finding an old Honda … A few months […]

The adventures of Adam and Ed

Adam always wanted a cb550. On the way back from Denver my chain snapped. We ended up stranded in Morgantown PA. A random guy named Dan came to help us. He had two cb550’s in his garage up the street from where we broke down. He gave me the chain off his bike so we […]

front end done

This weekend I finished fabricating the front end of my bike. Started by mocking up and drafting the gauge/switch bracket. Spray mounted my mechanical drawing onto an 1/8″ flat stock steel and then roughed out the shape with the hacksaw and cleaned it up with files. Installed! Left switch is for the High/Low beam and […]
