Based on some things I’ve been seeing lately from Adam and Shinya, I’ve been psyched on the bare metal look. I think it fits my 650 well. The 650 is a little rough around the edges and sounds nasty with the pod filters and 4-1 exhaust. So the raw metal tank with a few minor imperfections fits the theme. I bought another tank on eBay and stripped her down. eBay tank was super clean…
This is the shit Adam and I are using to prevent bare metal from rusting, it’s called Boeshield:

Boeing uses it on their airplanes… pretty sick.

How often do you need to apply boeshield ? Thanks
apply it once every 2 months
you probably don’t even need to do it that often.
the metal develops a really nice “patina”. it looks really good.
Hey how did you apply that boeshield stuff , did you wipe it on with a rag ? And how is it holding up ? I’m about to go bare metal with my 650
I use wd40 now. Once a month wipe it on with a rag.
