Nashville to Maine | CB350

Over the weekend this guy Sterling showed up at Cast & Salvage on his CB350 on his way from Nashville heading towards Maine. A serious trip for 70’s CB350. The bike had some serious oil leaks and needed some tuning up which was the reason for the visit.

We pushed off some other work and got the bike on the lift and disassembled.

Replaced the leaking seals and gaskets.

Sunday morning coffee waiting for Sterling to come by.

He’s traveling with his buddy who is on this 80’s BMW… not quite the same class as a 350.

Back on the road!

I’ve been helped out numerous times while on the road (Kansas Larry) by many people whose hospitality surprised me. It was cool to return the favor and help out another rider riding the shit out of his old cycle.

My favorite post here ever. Nice job taking care of wayward travelers. This is what it’s all about.

Nice to know that there are people out there helping complete strangers with their bikes. The auto shop next door to my house does that with any driver that comes by. They stop what they are doing, fix the issue and get the person back on the road. keep up the good work.

Where is he headed in Maine? Would love to meet up with a fellow CB rider and show him some local twisty backroads and coastlines.

After returning to DC for a week we have finally made it to Maine as of today and are camping in Acadia tonight and will probably spend another day or two here before picking a new destination and leaving the state. Carson if you happen to see this just send me an email at sdearmond@gmail.com and we can try to meet up for a ride. As for the the CB Adam and Ricky fixed it up right and its still running like a champ! Thanks again guys, I owe you big time.
