Canadian Rockies – day 1
Portland OR to Lopez Island WA
- All meet in Portland. Stay with bens buddy Justin. Slept in his backyard
- Portland is nicer than I remember. Hung with Ryan for the day.
- Wake in morning and take highway to Dr Andrew island to meet Andrew there
- 10 mins on highway outside Portland Adams XR650 shits it’s DG silencer out and almost decapitates me at 70mph
- We pull over and notice his bike is running hot at 280deg oil temp
- Stuff a sock over his k&n air filter to restrict it
- Get back on highway and my clutch cable snaps
- Ride all way 6 hr to the island with no clutch and go through 15 traffic jams near Seattle. That was fun
- Ben looks like a 70s porn star with creeper hair cut
- Quinn’s shit box Guzzi is running the best surprisingly
- I’m shooting 5 rolls of film
- Andrew island is rad. Took ferry to get here. More to come tmrw…
