seat mounting

I’m always curious as to how people mount their custom seats. Well, this is my design. I welded 3/16″ steel bar and tapped them out for M10 1.25 screws which mount from the top and will be covered by the seat padding.

cb500t seat part 3 of 3

Got the cowl welded up and excess cutoff. Still needs some more final shaping with the hand file and then it’s ready for paint!

cb500t seat part 2 of 3

This isn’t the biggest update but it shows what I’m working towards. I’m using the back half of a rusted out 500t tank to make my seat cowl. I wanted to slim it down so I cut out a 1 3/4″ section and welded it back together. Mock up.

the cb450 seat

…was super tall from Honda. I could barely touch the ground flat-foot on it!!! So, I found a seat on eBay that was real slick looking that was said to fit the 1970-1974 cb450. This is the dude’s eBay store: http://stores.ebay.com/hondaclassic31 He def has some real sick seats for a lot of different bikes. Anyway, […]

cb500t seat part 1 of 3

This is the beginning of my solo seat on my cb500t. I’m going for a super low, slim and minimal seat that fits with the curves of the tank. Cutting out paper templates to get certain measurements. Laid out the design on 16 gauge sheet metal. muscled some bends. Stance

bare metal tank

Based on some things I’ve been seeing lately from Adam and Shinya, I’ve been psyched on the bare metal look. I think it fits my 650 well. The 650 is a little rough around the edges and sounds nasty with the pod filters and 4-1 exhaust. So the raw metal tank with a few minor […]

Shinya Kimura

…makes the sickest cycles I’ve seen. check out his website: http://www.chabottengineering.com/menu.html Some of his philosophies include: – respecting the raw material he’s working with instead of painting it – older 70’s engines carry the spirt of the person who drafted them

front end done

This weekend I finished fabricating the front end of my bike. Started by mocking up and drafting the gauge/switch bracket. Spray mounted my mechanical drawing onto an 1/8″ flat stock steel and then roughed out the shape with the hacksaw and cleaned it up with files. Installed! Left switch is for the High/Low beam and […]

Best bike from Japan

Well I’m outta Japan and kicking it in Korea now so I saved the best post for last. Check out this gem I saw in an alleyway in Tokyo. This has my vote for best bike of Japan (even though its not a Japanese bike).

ss brake line

Replaced the shitty oem rubber/solid pipe with a stainless brake line from Max. Huge thanks to him for hooking me up with it. had to trim a spare banjo bolt to make it work but i’m real happy with the results. this should really improve my marginal braking power. THANKS MAX!!!

s2000 VS snow

yea… my s2000 is an earlier AP2 which means it has no traction control. For those of you who didn’t know… the s2000 is rear-wheel drive and mine has g-force sport tires, which are awesome sticky summer tires. So… snow VS the s2000…. – snow wins by a long shot Some dickface piled all their […]

Harley is going around America doing test rides on their new electric motorcycles but it’s by special lottery to get selected to ride. Justin’s friend hooked it up so we could bypass that […]
